Short version: we see nothing
Privacy
The Stash apps have no servers and no analytics. Your posts and tips stay in your iCloud, on your Mac and in your git repo.

What Stash stores, and where
- On your iPhone and in your private iCloud (CloudKit): the links you share, the public preview (title, creator, cover), your notes and screenshots, and each item's processing status and resulting tip summary.
- On your Mac: your library (
~/Stash, a git repository) and small settings files in~/.stash. - Optionally on GitHub: if you add a private remote, your library is pushed there by the Mac app.
What leaves your devices
- Claude Code processes posts on your Mac with your own Anthropic account, under Anthropic's terms.
- Public previews are fetched from the platform (for example TikTok's oEmbed) when you share.
- "Read the whole post" (off by default) uses
yt-dlpto fetch the post's captions, comments and, if needed, the video. Media is processed on your Mac and deleted right away. Speech recognition runs on your Mac.
What we collect
The apps collect nothing. Stash has no backend, no account, no analytics and no crash reporting.
The one exception is the beta waitlist on this website. If you join it, we keep the email you give, which agent you use (Claude Code, Codex or both) and when you joined, plus four coarse details taken from your visit: your device type (for example iPhone or Mac), the site or campaign that sent you, your country and your browser language. We use them only to send your TestFlight invite and the Mac download and to see where interest comes from. No IP address, no cookies, no newsletter. Write to yanivvds@gmail.com and it's deleted.
Deleting your data
"Empty your stash" in the iPhone app deletes everything in iCloud. On the Mac, the menu has the same option for your library, which is a git commit you can undo.
